RAJASTHAN ADVENTURE

Embark on a motorcycle journey through beautiful Rajasthan, India. With a rich history that spans several millennia, this enchanting odyssey is an excellent introduction to India where the rhythmic hum of the engine blends with the vibrant tapestry of Rajasthani landscapes — ancient forts rising from the desert's golden embrace, bustling markets where colors dance, and rural roads winding through timeless villages. Every curve unveils a new chapter in this historical saga. Amidst the arid beauty, the motorcycle becomes a conduit to the soul of Rajasthan, where the freedom of the open road intertwines with the mystique of a land steeped in regal splendor.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Meet in Delhi and be transferred by car to the beautiful ancient village of Mandawa where we will stay and relax in an ancient Haveli before our journey begins. Here you will meet your Royal Enfield, which you will ride for the trip.

  • Explore the "painted village" of Mandawa. A small village is renowned for its spellbinding havelis adorned with intricate frescoes that transport visitors to a bygone era of Rajasthani opulence.

  • Glamp at the edge of the desert, go for a camel ride before a sunset dinner among the dunes.

  • Visit the world-renowned Rat temple on the way to the ancient Blue City of Jodhpur where we will explore the breathtaking Mehrangarh Fort and visit an impressive step well that is still used today. 

  • Ride through the beautiful Aravalli Hills on the way to the Rankapur Jain temple and stop at the Khumbal Fortress also known as The Great Wall of India.

  • Explore the enchanting city of Udaipur located around Lake Pichola. Crowned by the City Palace, the city's regal architecture is mindblowing. The vibrant markets and lively streets weave a tapestry of colors and cultural richness that make this a must-see destination. 

  • Ride around Chittorgarh Fort. Considered the "Pride of Rajasthan", it is perched atop a 180-meter-high hill covering 700 acres of palaces, temples, water bodies and memorials.

  • Stay in a tucked away 16th century castle that is still run by the ruling family. Here you will get a taste of rural Rajput hospitality is really like. 

  • Continure on your journey the hidden gem of Bundi. Known for its ornate step-wells, intricately painted Taragarh Fort, and the medieval charm of Bundi Palace. The town's narrow lanes reveal vibrant street life, while its historical treasures invite exploration.

  • Enjoy the wonders of nature at Ranthambore National Park. Relax at the pool before embarking on a jungle safari to see the local wildlife and hopefully Tigers. 

  • Finish your moto tour by ending in Jaipur, one of Rajasthan's most exciting cities.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Delhi - We pick you up from the Delhi airport, or we will meet you at the hotel. There will be a welcome dinner so that you can meet the rest of the people in your tour.

 

Day 2 - Delhi to Mandawa - Travelling Distance: 255km

Today, after you get some rest, we will transfer you from Delhi to the remote village of Mandawa.

Day 3 – Mandawa 

In the morning, you will get to explore the quaint historical village of Mandawa. A small village that is renowned for its spellbinding havelis adorned with intricate frescoes that transport visitors to a bygone era of Rajasthani opulence. In the afternoon you will get acquainted with your Royal Enfield motorcycle as we go for our first ride.

Day 4 – Mandawa to Bikaner - Travelling Distance: 193 km

Leaving Mandawa we will ride on small roads exploring villages along the edge of the desert on our way to Bikaner. It will be a ride that will take you through the golden heart of Rajasthan. Riding at the edge of the desert will give you a taste of what desert life in Rajasthan is all about. Once in Bikaner, we will ride a short distance in the desert, where we will spend the night glamping among the dunes and have the option to go on a camel ride.

Day 5 - Bikaner to Jodhpur - Travelling Distance: 252 km 
This morning we ride South towards the Blue city of Jodhpur. Along the way, we will stop and visit the world-renowned Rat temple. A place like nowhere else on earth. From here we will continue to ride through small villages stopping for chai and snacks along the way until we reach the incredible city Jodhphur whose enchanting blend of desert landscapes and cultural richness make it a unique and captivating destination in India.

Day 6 – Jodhpur 
Today, we will explore the ancient Blue City of Jodhpur. 
It is a visual feast with the imposing Mehrangarh Fort perched on a rocky hill overlooking the city. We will explore the narrow ancient streets where the indigo hues of the Old City's houses contrast with vibrant markets, and no visit here would be complete without visiting the very impressive Toorji step well that locals still use today.

Day 7 – Jodhpur to Udaipur -Travelling Distance: 256 km
Continuing on the Royal Enfields, we will ride through the beautiful Aravalli Hills on the way to our visit to the impressive Rankapur Jain temple. From there we will continue on to the Khumbal Fortress also known as The Great Wall of India. The rest of the ride will be on windy backroads that will take us to the beautiful city of Udaipur. Known as the 'City of Lakes,' it is one of the most beautiful cities in Rajasthan. Here we will stay in an old, quaint Haveli in the old city that will allow us to easily walk around and explore all that Udaipur has to offer.

Day 8 – Udaipur
This is a rest day that will allow you to experience the wonders of Udaipur. There is no other city in Rajashtan like it and it is a highlight for many that visit the Rajashtan region. It really does have a timeless romance that is reflected in the shimmering lakes and regal palaces. Lose yourself in the intricate architecture of City Palace, take a cruise on Lake Pichola and explore the vibrant markets. Udaipur offers a cultural tapestry that promises an unforgettable experience.

Day 9 – Udaipur to Bijaipur Castle via Chittorgarh Palace - Travelling Distance: 151 km
Leaving Udaipur, we will travel to a fantastic castle that the ruling family still runs. It is nestled in a remote village that will most certainly transport you back in time. Along the way, we will check out the famous Chittorgarh Palace. 
Considered to be the "Pride of Rajasthan," it is perched atop a 180-meter-high hill covering 700 acres of palaces, temples, water bodies and memorials.

Day 10 - Bijaipur to Bundi - Travelling Distance 150 km

After breakfast, we will continue our journey to the hidden gem of Bundi. Known for its ornate step-wells, intricately painted Taragarh Fort and the medieval charm of Bundi Palace. The town's narrow lanes reveal vibrant street life, while its historical treasures invite exploration. When we arrive at the hotel, you can relax by the pool, explore the town, and/or check out the Fort.

Day 11 - Bundi to Ranthambore National Park - Travelling Distance: 150 km

From Bundi we will head Northeast where we will enjoy the natural wonders of Ranthambore National Park.  Relax at the pool, eat good food and rest for the jungle safari the next day where we get to see the local wildlife and hopefully Tigers.

Day 12 - Ranthambore National Park 

Keep your eyes peeled and on the lookout for those tigers, hyenas, bears, crocodiles, elephants, and more. For centuries, Ranthambhore was a hunting ground for the maharajas, who even created artificial lakes and watering holes to attract big game. Thankfully, such shooting no longer happens and other kinds of ‘shooting’ happens, which we happily welcome ! Keep your cameras ready for the truly spectacular sights of the richest wildlife in India.

Day 13 - Ranthambore National Park to Jaipur - Travelling Distance: 190 km

The final day of moto touring in Rajasthan on your Royal Enfield. Leaving Ranthambore National Park we will have a leisurely drive to the impressive city of Jaipur where we will celebrate the end of your Rajasthan motorcycle trip with a final farewell dinner.

Day 14 - Jaipur

If you have booked flights, we drop you at Jaipur airport for your trip home.

  • Transfer from the airport in Delhi to your hotel and transfers at the end of your tour from your hotel to Jaipur airport.

  • A Royal Enfield motorbike for the length of your trip, 

  • Experienced, English-speaking guides to help you along the way, and expert Royal Enfield mechanics

  • Support vehicles that are carrying the Enfield parts backup gas and tools, mineral water, and snacks. Enjoy a Bollywood music fest if you decide to ride in the van at any stage.

  • Accommodation (best in-area hotels and glamping)

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, mineral water, and juices on the way)

  • Gas (for the bikes and support vehicles for the trip)

  • First-aid kit with all necessary medicines for the region

WHAT'S EXCLUDED

  • All flights (international and domestic)

  • Travel insurance - you need to organize this before you leave home. Make sure it covers you for moto touring on the size bike you will riding and covers medical evacuation, medical bills, repatriation

  • International motorcycle license - you may need this for your insurance to be valid, a good idea to check the fine print.

  • Motorcycle damage - you are liable for all damage to your bike on the trip. 

  • Alcohol and any extra drinks ordered. We ask that you settle your drinks bill before you head off each day.

  • Tips

  • Riding gear including helmet, boots, gloves, etc. Bring all these with you as there aren't any motorcycle shops in most of the areas we visit.

  • Accommodation, meals, and any attractions not included in the tour (including any extra nights you may wish to book in Shimla and Leh)
